During your virtual group session, you have the ability to see and hear all of your attendees via the video chat. This is the primary way you can use to interact with one another; however, when the session video is playing, everyone is muted. Also, if anyone does not have access to a microphone, this can greatly hamper discussion. The text chat option exists to alleviate these types of concerns.
On the sidebar navigation, you’ll find the text chat button.
Click this button to open the text chat drawer. From here, you can type messages and press ‘Enter’ to send them out to everyone in the group.

As soon as you send the message, each of your attendees will be notified with a red indicator to let them know that there is an unread message in their chat.

They can then open the chat drawer and respond to keep the conversation going.
