For the last few years, there has been a RightNow Media app available for select Smart TVs. In today's technology environment, the pace of change can move rather quickly. In order to deliver our app, we used the Yahoo! Connected TV store which was available on Smart TVs by several manufacturers but, recently, we have seen fewer and fewer models compatible with this Yahoo! store. This has led to fewer TVs capable of successfully running our app and Yahoo! phasing out it's support for apps delivered through it's Connected TV Store. In addition, the trend among TV manufacturers has been to move towards "casting" functionality instead of using apps installed directly on the TV. Casting technology allows you to select a video on a smart phone or tablet and send or "cast" it to your TV screen.

All of these changes along with an inconsistent user experience on Smart TVs have led us to a need to discontinue our Smart TV app. The process of discontinuing our app removes it from the Yahoo! Connected TV Store and uninstalls it from your TV since it is no longer available.
The good news is there are many other great ways to stream RightNow Media content to your TV, possibly using devices you already own. For instance, you can connect any smart phone, tablet, or laptop to your TV using an adapter and/or HDMI cable. You can also use a Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, or Chromecast to stream our videos to your TV. You can learn more about this here: Connect RightNow Media to your TV
